	Brandy Brandy is the traditional base used by Dr. Bach. Only a minute amount (1/2 teaspoon) is added to each remedy to act as a preservative. I use a special pear and apple distilled brandy that infuses the slightest pleasing hint of fruit. I've found this mixes well in most drinks including teas, water and coffee. A bottle will last indefinitely preserved this way and kept out of direct sunlight.
	Apple Cider Vinegar If you prefer not to use alcohol, and like the tartness of apple cider vinegar, choose this as your healthful alternative. I use only organic pasturized apple cider vinegar. Because vinegar can ultimately erode the rubber used in the droppers this is not recommended if you plan on carrying your remedy in a purse or storing it on its side.
	No Preservative You may then add your own preservative, refrigerate, or simply use more quickly. Recommended time for use without preservative or refrigeration is two weeks.
